Bacon smash burger with cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 4 burger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, increase the heat to high.
  3. Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and form into balls.
  4. Place each ball in the skillet and smash down with a spatula to form patties.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip the patties.
  7. Top each patty with a slice of cheese and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  8. Toast the burger buns in the skillet until golden brown.
  9. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun, adding bacon and any optional toppings.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
