A savory bacon spinach quiche that combines crispy bacon, fresh spinach, and creamy cheese in a flaky crust, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pre-bake for 10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, sauté the chopped spinach until wilted, then remove from heat.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Add the crumbled bacon, sautéed spinach, and shredded cheese to the egg mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture into the pre-baked pie crust.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
