Broccoli and Beef Skillet

A quick and delicious dinner featuring tender beef and fresh broccoli stir-fried together in a savory sauce.

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  6. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet and mix well with the broccoli.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
