Caramel Mocha Cream Cake

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add coffee, oil, vanilla, and vinegar. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool cake completely.
  6. Whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  7. Spread cream over cake and drizzle with caramel sauce.
