A rich caramel cake with a spiderweb design, perfect for Halloween or themed parties.

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let it cool.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the cake in a spiral pattern.
  7. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outward to create a spiderweb.
  8. Drip melted chocolate along the edges for a spooky effect.
