  • 3 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Chopped onions, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, place the pork shoulder and add the onion, garlic, orange juice, lime juice, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  3. Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the juices in the slow cooker.
  4. Heat the corn tortillas in a skillet until warm.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing the shredded pork on the tortillas and topping with cilantro and chopped onions.
  6. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

  • For extra flavor, sear the pork in a skillet before adding it to the slow cooker.
