1 lb fresh crab meat
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 egg
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, bell pepper, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.
Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For best results, use fresh crab meat.
Chill the crab cakes for 30 minutes before frying to help them hold their shape.
