Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground turkey or chicken
1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey or chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Mix until well combined and form into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
Serve with your favorite low-sugar marinara sauce or on a bed of zucchini noodles.
Notes
For added flavor, you can include chopped vegetables like bell peppers or onions in the meat mixture.
These meatballs can be frozen for later use; just reheat in the air fryer when ready to serve.
Adjust seasoning according to your taste preferences.
