  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup raisins or sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the applesauce, honey (or agave syrup), and almond milk.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts and raisins or chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
