A simple and delicious recipe for making lasagna with perfect layers and rich flavors.

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  7. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of ground beef and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, marinara sauce, and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with sautéed vegetables.
  • Let the lasagna sit for a few minutes before serving for easier slicing.
  • Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
