Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the melted butter and mashed potatoes to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Cover and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let it cool before slicing and serving.
