  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add carrots, brown sugar, water, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir well and cover. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Uncover and cook for another 5 minutes until the liquid reduces and forms a glaze.
  5. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Cut carrots into even sizes for even cooking.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.
