  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared heart-shaped pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into heart shapes and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • These brownies can be topped with powdered sugar or frosting for decoration.
