High-Protein Mongolian Beef and Peppers

A delicious and protein-packed dish featuring tender beef and vibrant peppers in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced (red and green)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch.
  2. Add sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned.
  5. Add sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in water and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
