  • 2 cups young green jackfruit, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Taco shells
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Avocado slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in the jackfruit, soy sauce, lime juice, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the jackfruit is tender and slightly caramelized.
  6. Warm the taco shells in a separate pan or oven.
  7. Fill each taco shell with the jackfruit mixture.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and avocado slices before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the jackfruit mixture.
  • These tacos can be served with your favorite salsa or hot sauce.
