Korean Honey Garlic Chicken Bites

Crispy chicken bites coated in a sweet and savory Korean honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Beat egg in another bowl.
  3. Dip chicken pieces in egg, then coat with flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry chicken until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Remove chicken and set aside.
  6. In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  7. Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir until sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Return chicken to pan and toss to coat with sauce.
  9. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-fry the chicken.
  • Adjust honey quantity for preferred sweetness.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
