Korean Style Spicy Pork Bulgogi Bowls

A delicious and spicy Korean dish featuring marinated pork served over rice with fresh vegetables.

  • 1 lb pork shoulder, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced pork to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated pork to the pan and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. In the same pan, add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve the spicy pork over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of gochujang to control the spiciness.
  • Can substitute pork with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
