  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and marinara sauce on top.
  8. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

  • For a vegetarian option, ensure the marinara sauce is meat-free.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for added flavor.
  • Lasagna can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
