Seafood Lasagna

A delicious and creamy seafood lasagna that combines layers of pasta with a rich seafood filling and a cheesy béchamel sauce.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles – 12 sheets
  • Mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, and crab) – 2 cups
  • Ricotta cheese – 1 cup
  • Mozzarella cheese – 2 cups, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese – 1/2 cup, grated
  • Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley – 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Italian seasoning – 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the mixed seafood to the skillet and cook until just opaque. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, heavy cream, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  5. Spread a thin layer of the seafood mixture on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 sheets of lasagna noodles over the seafood mixture.
  7. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by another layer of seafood mixture.
  8. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of noodles on top.
  9. Pour any remaining cream mixture over the top and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  11. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use low-fat cheese.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or zucchini for extra nutrition.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
