  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and sugar together.
  2. Add the olive oil and warm water, then mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
  6. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a flat circle.
  7. Carefully place the rolled dough onto the hot baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use a pizza stone if available.
  • Store leftover pita bread in an airtight container.
