These soft dinner rolls are fluffy and delicious, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add herbs or garlic powder to the dough.
  • These rolls can be frozen after baking; just reheat before serving.
