Fun and spooky spider egg nest cupcakes perfect for Halloween. Chocolate cupcakes topped with a nest of chocolate noodles and candy spider eggs.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can chocolate frosting
  • 1 cup chocolate chow mein noodles
  • 12 candy-coated chocolates (like M&Ms or Whoppers)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full with batter.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let cupcakes cool completely.
  6. Frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting.
  7. Press chocolate chow mein noodles into the frosting to form nests.
  8. Place 2-3 candy-coated chocolates in each nest as spider eggs.
