White Sauce Lasagna

Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles – 12 sheets
  • Ricotta cheese – 2 cups
  • Mozzarella cheese – 3 cups, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese – 1 cup, grated
  • Spinach – 2 cups, fresh
  • Butter – 4 tablespoons
  • All-purpose flour – 1/4 cup
  • Milk – 4 cups
  • Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Nutmeg – a pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, then gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  5. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens, then season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of white sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, ricotta cheese, spinach, and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of white sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
