Crispy Sesame Chicken and Broccoli

A delightful dish featuring crispy chicken coated in sesame seeds, served with fresh broccoli for a perfect balance of flavors.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  4. Coat the marinated chicken in cornstarch and then roll in sesame seeds.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the chicken until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  7. In the same pan, stir-fry the broccoli until tender.
  8. Serve the crispy chicken over the broccoli and drizzle with any remaining sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double coat the chicken in sesame seeds.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
