A gourmet dish featuring succulent scallops marinated in sesame and ginger, served over a bed of nutrient-rich forbidden rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb scallops
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup forbidden rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the forbidden rice under cold water and drain.
  2. In a pot, combine the forbidden rice and water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-35 minutes until tender.
  3. In a bowl, mix sesame oil, grated ginger, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the scallops to the marinade and let them sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated scallops, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and serve it on plates.
  7. Top the rice with the cooked scallops, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your gourmet feast!

  • Make sure to use fresh scallops for the best flavor.
  • Forbidden rice can be substituted with brown rice if necessary.
  • Adjust the amount of ginger and soy sauce according to your taste preference.
